At Skalas Acharavi, North Corfu, a section of baths was discovered, apparently belonging to a Roman villa. The core of the building is an almost rectangular space made up of individual rooms for hot water (caldarium). Two elongated spaces were revealed to their southeast, possibly the position of bathtubs. Below the door through which the rooms communicate, a section of hot-air circulation pipe was revealed between the buildings.
Among the artifacts discovered at the site were sculptures of Roman-era vases, a relief lamp (3rd -4th century AD), fragments of reliefs (2nd to 3rd century AD). Also, bronze coins (from the 3rd century BC to a few Late Roman), as well as fragments of glass, marble tiles and two Ionic capitals. Among the movable finds are marble fragments, fragments of glass and a few coins of Roman times (1st -4th century AD).
